In response to Covid-19, we may look a little different & have to do things a little differently.
As all our assessment team are also practising NHS doctors and are well trained & experienced in hygienic practice including in respect of changes in response to covid-19. We adhere to the WHO 5 moments for hand hygiene.
We will also have to take forward a few changes to maintain social distancing & optimise safety for all as far as possible and we will be using the PPE currently recommended for all face to face work undertaken. This will be adapted in line with relevant guidance.
If your child or any member of your child's household has been unwell we need you to let us know that prior to the appointment - this includes any cough, fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste/smell, diarrhoea or other new onset health issue.
Some of our assessment may take place or be offered to take place by telephone or video appointment however some parts of our assessment can only be completed face to face. If you would like to have as much as possible done non face to face - please let us know & we will organise what we can..
Only one parent/carer can come in to the room with child/young person for any face to face appointment & the same parent/carer for follow up/reviews where possible. We can no longer allow siblings or other relatives to attend.
